It can’t be denied, I like collecting fragrances. There is even a special place in my bathroom where I display the phials and bottles of perfumes. I choose the products taking into consideration the longevity of the aroma, the event I could wear the fragrance for, and the bottle’s design. Today I’ve decided to tell you about one of my favorites – Marc Jacobs Decadence.
What do my perfumes and a bag have in common? It turns out that quite a lot. Marc Jacobs Decadence’s phial resembles a bag that was designed by, wait for it… Marc Jocobs (collaboration with Annie Buzantian). The bottle is greenish and its cup is decorated with a snake skin motive. The entire look is touched up with a tassel and a golden chain which imitates a shoulder strap. Obviously, you shouldn’t wear the bottle on your shoulder since it may break easily.
How does Marc Jacobs Decadence smell? We can distinguish three notes. The head notes are: prugna, crocus and fleur-de-lis. The heart notes include: damascena rose, Sambac jasmine and the root of fleur-de-lis. The last notes to mention, which belong to base notes, are: papyrus, vetiver and liquid amber. If I were to describe the impression the fragrance creates, I’d say it’s sweet but at the same time sharp and clear. I associate it with oriental, wooden and flowery fragrances. In my opinion, Marc Jacobs’s perfumes would be suitable for neat women with strong personalities. I find Decadence perfect to wear for an evening play in a theater or a special occasion.
Marc Jacobs Decadence fragrances are durable, the aroma lingers on skin really long. If you spray the product onto your hair, you will prolong the durability of the smell for a few extra hours. There is one, very easy way to make the perfume’s aroma really durable. Just use it to spray your ironing board! The warmth of the iron will make the fragrance penetrate the fibers of the clothing. However, if you don’t like this kind of a trick, give a go to other methods that help preserve the lifespan of the perfumes. Apply Decadence by Marc Jocobs to the following body parts: wrists, the place where arm and leg bends (the back of the elbow and knee), neck skin, cleavage and skin behind the ears.
