My trick. How to keep your legs staying smooth long after shaving?

Hair removal is a kind of Sisyphean task when it comes to body care. You shave the legs and after a few days this stinging hair grows out again and you have to start the whole procedure from the very beginning! Again and again, and again…

What should you do to prolong the effect of smooth skin after shaving?

There are a few tricks which can be tried at home to enjoy smooth leg skin for longer than normally. Every woman, who can’t afford the laser hair removal procedure, should be familiar with these methods. A regular razor will also do the job, and the effects will last longer than usually, unless you don’t follow my pieces of advice 😉

Apply peeling before shaving

Of high importance is making skin ready for the upcoming shaving procedure. Body peeling facilitates removing dead epidermis cells and counteracts ingrown hair. The grains that such a product contains remove the thin layers of dead epidermis, which can cover the weak hair. Luckily, the cosmetic you want to use for the procedure don’t have to be bought in a shop because homemade peelings are equally effective, and these can be coffee peeling, sugar peeling or salt peeling.

Apply a peeling right after leaving the bath

Instead of limping through the stiff hair and dry skin before showering, always remove your hair right after finishing bathing – the procedure will be easier then. Not only is skin clean, but also soft and better hydrated. Moreover, hair bulb became uncovered thanks to the use of anti-cellulite sponge and because warmth of the water make follicles open.

Use a moisturising shaving gel

Time-saving makes us shave our legs during showering, when it’s easier for the razor to glide on wet skin covered with foam. Let be reminded though that a shower gel can’t be compared with a decent shaving gel or cream. The product designed for hair removal provides better glide and minimises possible irritations.

Add a drop of an oil to the gel

My beloved vegetable oils are also useful when it comes to shaving. I tested this myself and I can confirm that any natural oil, such as argan or sweet almond oil, keeps skin moisturised and soft. Also, natural oils make hair softer which considerably reduces the difficulty of shaving.

Replace razors regularly

The colossal mistake while removing unwanted hair is the use of blunt razors. Don’t do this! Not only may this irritate your skin but also with a great possibility it would be hard for you to cut all the hair with such an ineffective item. It’s better to use a cheaper razor, which will work effectively when combined with a gel, than buying a more expensive one and replace it rarely.
