Miracle Worker Among Oils – Natural Raspberry Seed Oil

Hello, my lovely readers!

Do you know raspberry seed oil benefits? When I got interested in natural beauty care, I saw this very oil mentioned everywhere. It’s said to be a remedy for everything – acne, blackheads, wrinkles, damaged hair, hands, legs and god knows what’s more. What’s the truth?

In my case, the love for this ingredient started, hmm, by accident 🙂

I got a raspberry seed oil for free when I ordered something from an online drugstore with natural beauty products (sorry, I can’t remember the store’s name). It was tiny – just 20 ml – but it was enough to appreciate the raspberry oil. I remember I first applied it to the face skin instead of my regular night cream I’d used up. What happened? My skin was much smoother and simply prettier in the morning.

It was a long time ago, a year or year and a half passed. I still love the raspberry seed oil and use it literally for everything. That’s what I wanted to tell you about.

RASPBERRY SEED OIL – PROPERTIES

Natural composition is something you can love about oils. Is there anything that makes raspberry seed oil different from other oils e.g. a very popular argan oil? Of course! It’s the only oil that is made up of 80% of omega-3 and omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids. There would be nothing fascinating about it if it wasn’t for the fact that our skin and hair need these very acids most. Every skin type loves them which is a great thing.

There’s more! Do you know what’s inside a cold-pressed raspberry seed oil? Vitamin E that should be known to every girl because of its rejuvenating and antioxidant power. The vitamin E isn’t the only antioxidant in the oil. Raspberry oil includes carotenoids, flavonoids and rare (in care products) ellagic acid that offers similar benefits to vitamin E. Thanks to a large quantity of antioxidants, raspberry oil is super-stable and slows down aging processes.

You might think that there can’t be more good things in an oil? I’ll surprise you. Raspberry seed oil is among the best protective oils. Its factor (I guess that’s the name for it, correct me if I’m wrong) is somewhere between SPF 28 and 50. On the other hand you must be careful with this sun protection – its intensity and effectiveness depend on a place and time of extraction and the type of fruit. That’s why you should also use a regular sunblock that gives better protection.

RASPBERRY SEED OIL – USES

To me, the best thing about the raspberry oil is being multitasking. It’s rich in antioxidants so you can use it both for face and body skin care. And feel free to apply it to hair. You can use it solo or mix with other conditioning ingredients. The options are limitless but what about the benefits?

Raspberry Seed Oil Face Benefits

It offers an amazing absorption. Due to an optimal content of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, it has the power for controlling sebaceous glands. What does it mean? Raspberry seed oil prevents an excessive sebum secretion thus reduces the oily T zone (not only) and lowers the intensity of skin problems like blackheads. That’s why raspberry seed oil is recommended for the oily and acne-prone skin. It soothes irritation so I believe that avoiding oils in a problematic skin care is a huge mistake, especially when you have a quite cheap raspberry oil at hand.

What’s another skin type that is going to like the product? Obviously, the mature skin and the one that’s about to get first wrinkles. Since the raspberry seed oil abounds in such a set of antioxidants, it’s going to rejuvenate and do away with damaging free radicals. The oil increases skin elasticity and smoothness. If you regularly apply the raspberry seed oil to face, you can even expect the visibility of fine lines. What are other benefits for the mature skin? Hydration! The raspberry seed oil doesn’t moisturise but it locks in water and strengthens the natural hydro-lipid barrier. You can really see first effects after just 2-3 uses!

Raspberry Oil Body Benefits

More elastic, smoother, hydrated and rejuvenated skin? Yes, the raspberry seed oil doesn’t work for face only. It gives body skin benefits. You can successfully use it for the neck, cleavage, nail cuticles, hands, feet and the entire body. Obviously, the oil’s going to run out quickly if you use it for the body skin so you can add it to your favorite lotion, enriching the product with extra properties.

Raspberry Oil Hair Benefits

I definitely use raspberry seed oil for face care most often hence the longest description. But I know its wonderful hair benefits, no matter hair porosity or condition. You can apply raspberry oil when your hair’s dry and frizzy because it adds softness, smoothness, hydration and makes styling easier. It ensures rejuvenation in hair care, too; prevents breakage and splitting, as well as provides a gentle protection against harmful factors e.g. the sunlight.

Let’s face it! There’s no point in tiring the keyboard and writing detailed descriptions. I guess I would run out of characters to tell you about everything. You should see raspberry seed oil benefits on your own skin and hair. I encourage you – test it out! 🙂
