Usually, there is only one option. Sadly, we have to let go of our favourite mascara and allow it to end up at the bottom of the bin. Then, with the even greater pain, we have to spend a huge amount of money on the new cosmetic because let’s be honest, the good mascara is never cheap. You’d say though, that’s life. We all should remember that mascara should be exchanged every 3 months. Only that I hate wasting good product and in such a short period of time it is not possible to use it up. Can there be done anything about it?
Here are my proven ways for dry mascara. All tested and I can assure you that are effective. Thanks to this post, you have two options — either buy a new mascara or meet new methods to rescue your dry mascara. Let’s begin!
METHODS TO DEAL WITH DRY MASCARA
1. Heating mascara in a water bath
First proposition to make you mascara usable is sadly a one timer. You will not restore your mascara with its fresh consistency permanently, but it always handy to know this trick. All you need to do is place your mascara for 5 minutes in a high glass or container filled with water. You have to dip mostly the lower part where the mascara is. Under influence of high temperature, the product will become soft and dissolve, sadly, after it cools down it will solidify once more.
2. Magical power of Inglot Duraline
The second proposition is obviously well-known to all bloggers, Duraline, i.e. multi-purpose solution intended for, among many, rescue to dry cosmetics. I bought in the local drug store for a reasonable price. It is runny, colourless and easy in use. Apply 4-5 drops of Duraline with a pipette to your dry mascara, shake it for the two substances to mix and it’s ready. You restored your mascara’s durability for another few weeks.
3. Eye drops to the mascara rescue
Last proposition is a method that can refresh your mascara for a really long time and does not require from you to buy additional cosmetics. Probably all you have hydrating drops for eyes, which when added to the mascara can work like aforementioned Duraline. Attention! Do not use any eye drops that are intended for medical purposes, containing antibiotic, etc. Use only hydrating eye drops.
