Keep an Eye on your Eyeshadow Base!

If there’s a makeup primer in your beauty bag, you need to get an eyeshadow base – you’re gonna have a full set of makeup products and enjoy a flawless look. Which cosmetic to choose, how it works and how to use it? Find out reading the post!

What effects does an eyeshadow base deliver?

An eyeshadow primer is most useful for girls who have an oily skin and drooping eyelids. The product is supposed to set the eyeshadow, eyeliners, pigments and other products that you apply to the eyelids. An eyeshadow base evens out the skin tone and camouflages imperfections around the eyes, too. Thanks to the cosmetic, your eyeshadow pigment is always intense and long-wear. A primer makes eyeshadow easier to apply, no matter the consistency.

How to use an eyeshadow base?

It is usually closed in a jar or tube, and has a gel or cream form. Applying it with a fingertip is the best way. If the base settles in the eyelid creases, you must have applied too much or it’s simply a poor-quality product. The primer should be used for the upper and lower lids. After applying, you wait a moment and apply an eyeshadow. Dusting some powder on the lids is a trick for longer-lasting makeup.

Which eyeshadow base to choose?

Choose an eyeshadow primer which blends with the skin tone and won’t change the cosmetic’s shade. Eyeshadow Keeper Inglot and Eyeshadow Primer Potion Urban Decay are my favourites. The first one makes products last long hours and works great for oily skin. It is fragrance-free and really cost-effective. The other base is in tune with my skin tone and is equipped with a handy applicator so makeup takes up a few mins.
